The York Knights have announced the signing of Cronulla Sharks co-captain Cameron McInnes on a three-year contract beginning in 2027.
For several months, it has been widely anticipated that McInnes would leave the Shire for the Northern English club, with the Knights now confirming the addition of the former Dragon and Rabbitoh.
This move to England marks the conclusion of McInnes' 13-year NRL career, where he became known as a relentless, hard-working middle player, participating in over 240 high-energy matches.
At 32 years old, his impressive work rate was highlighted when he achieved the record for most tackles in a single NRL game, making 81 tackles against the Panthers in 2023.
McInnes expressed his excitement about joining York in the Northern Hemisphere after this season wraps up.
