The Bulldogs have certainly started the off-season with a bang, as their key recruits make their intentions known.

Blake Taaffe, the exciting new addition to the team, has declared his desire for the fullback spot in the upcoming season, while also expressing his belief in the team's ability to make a much-awaited return to the finals.

The signing of Stephen Crichton earlier this year seemed to solidify the fullback position, but it seems that he may find himself competing in the centres instead, with Taaffe emerging as the frontrunner.

However, Taaffe acknowledges that it will ultimately be up to coach Cameron Ciraldo to make the final decision, indicating the healthy competition within the squad.

Taaffe's familiarity with the fullback position gives him an advantage, but he remains determined to earn the respect of his teammates regardless of where he ends up playing.

The battle for spots in the Bulldogs team is fierce, but this level of competition is driving the players to excel and not become complacent.

With everyone vying for their respective roles, the Bulldogs are shaping up for an exciting season ahead.
