Cameron Ciraldo, the coach of the Canterbury Bulldogs, is fully backing his star player, Matt Burton, to make a triumphant return to the State of Origin arena after his controversial omission from the squad for game 2.

The decision to leave Burton out left many Blues fans scratching their heads, but Ciraldo is confident that his talented playmaker will bounce back strong and earn his spot back in the team.

Burton, who was the 18th man for the series opener, missed out on playing in Canterbury's match against Newcastle.

However, he will be back in action for their upcoming clash against the Roosters, who will be missing several Origin stars.

Despite the setback, Burton remains unfazed and fully focused on performing for his team.

Ciraldo, speaking about Burton's omission, stated, "I had forgotten about it until you guys started asking me about it because he came back on Monday and he's normal Burto." He continued, "He's excited about playing footy and he's refreshed after the bye.

He's ready to do the job for the team."

The coach expressed his belief in Burton's abilities, saying, "It's good for us.

We'd love to see him in and around that arena, but we know that when he does reach his potential or gets close to that potential that he'll be there, no doubt." With Ciraldo's support and Burton's determination, it seems only a matter of time before the talented playmaker makes his mark on the Origin stage once again.
