In a thrilling Super League clash, the injury-hit St Helens showcased their resilience and determination as they fought back from a 13-point deficit to secure a hard-fought victory over struggling Salford Red Devils.
The Red Devils had taken a commanding 15-2 lead into halftime, courtesy of tries from Kallum Watkins and Ryan Brierley.
However, the Saints began their comeback in the second half, with Matty Lees bulldozing his way over the try line, and Tommy Makinson successfully converting the score to bring them within a single point of their opponents.
With just 10 minutes remaining on the clock, Jack Welsby's incredible effort saw St Helens take the lead, and they managed to hold on for the win.
This crucial victory keeps St Helens in fourth place in the league standings, while a defeat could have left them just two points ahead of seventh place.
