Broncos powerhouse Payne Haas has addressed speculation regarding a potential mid-season departure from the club, even as his coach insists that Brisbane remains in contention for the title despite enduring a seventh consecutive loss.
Having agreed to join the Rabbitohs in 2027, Haas's future has become a topic of interest, especially as the Broncos' chances of reaching the finals slip away. The Rabbitohs are reportedly eyeing a move for the talented prop before the June 30 mid-season transfer deadline.
Despite this, Haas has categorically refuted any idea of leaving mid-season.
After the Broncos fell 24-18 to the Roosters, the team now faces the daunting task of winning at least eight of their remaining nine matches to secure a spot in the finals.
"It's BS," declared the Broncos' acting captain during the post-match press conference.
"There's no way I would ever let that happen, mate. I love this group and I'm committed to this group this year. These guys are my brothers."
