Broncos' depth takes a double whammy hit

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

The Brisbane Broncos have faced a significant setback in terms of player depth following injuries to Blake Mozer and Corey Jensen.

Mozer has broken his jaw, while Jensen is reportedly dealing with a blood clot.

This news comes alongside the confirmation of Cory Paix suffering an elbow strain.

Although Paix has been named in the extended squad for the upcoming game against the Gold Coast Titans, he is unlikely to play.

Mozer's injury creates complications for the Broncos as they compete for the number nine jersey.

Reports suggest that while the club is hopeful his injury won't be season-ending, he is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.

This situation arises just as Ben Hunt is returning, with Hunt named to start at number nine this weekend, while Billy Walters remains on the bench.

With these injuries, Paix and Walters will likely be vying for a single spot on the bench to support Hunt as the team aims for a successful run toward the finals.
