The Brisbane Broncos were left reeling after a tough loss to the Dragons on Saturday night, sending their premiership hopes spiraling downwards.

Coach Kevin Walters didn't hold back, delivering a fiery speech to his team after their sixth consecutive defeat.

The Broncos started the game slowly, allowing the Red V to take a commanding lead at half-time.

Despite a spirited comeback in the second half, the Broncos fell short, losing 30-26 at Suncorp Stadium.

With the team now sitting in 13th place on the ladder, every win is crucial as they push towards the finals.

The absence of key players like Selwyn Cobbo, Reece Walsh, Payne Haas, and Patrick Carrigan may have affected their performance, but Walters refused to make excuses.

He let loose on his players in the dressing room, leaving no stone unturned in his critique.

"He's not happy because they're losing, obviously," commented Mal Meninga as he observed Walters passionately addressing his team.

The coach's frustration was evident as he demanded more from his players in terms of their roster and execution on the field.

The Broncos now face an uphill battle to turn their season around and salvage their campaign.
