In a move that is taking the Brisbane Broncos into uncharted territory, they have secured the services of a promising utility forward on a train and trial contract for the upcoming 2025 NRL season.
With new coach Michael Maguire at the helm, the Broncos are gearing up for a fresh start in 2025 as they strive to recapture the glory that almost saw them claim the NRL Grand Final in 2023, coming agonizingly close to lifting their first title since 2006.
Following a successful season with the Souths Logan Magpies, reports from the underground whisper that Callum Eggerling has earned himself a spot on the Broncos roster for the upcoming pre-season on a train and trial basis.
Having been a key player for the Magpies since 2019, Eggerling's standout performances earned him the coveted Player of the Year title in 2022 in the now-extinct Hastings Deering Colts competition.
A versatile player capable of slotting into the hooker or lock positions, the 22-year-old Eggerling showcased his skills on the field this season with three tries, two forced drop-outs, two try assists, two line-break assists, along with an impressive 408 tackles and 691 total running metres in 19 appearances.
As the Broncos embarks on this new chapter, Eggerling's arrival brings a fresh burst of energy and talent to the team as they prepare to tackle the challenges of the upcoming season with renewed vigor and determination.
