Boyd's Promising Season Ends with Injury

Tanah Boyd Discusses ACL Injury and Anticipated Comeback Date for NZ Warriors

The promising journey of Tanah Boyd with the Warriors faced an unexpected interruption during Magic Round, when he suffered an ACL injury reminiscent of Luke Metcalfe's similar experience at the same event in the previous year.

This injury struck at a particularly unfortunate moment for Boyd, who had just received a two-year contract extension with the team a few days prior.

"Yeah, it was nuts," Boyd remarked during an interview with SEN.

"Kind of weird, when I'd done it and then in the space of five seconds all that flashed in my head.

"'Cause I literally signed the contract that week. You feel like you let the club down, the boys down, everything, that all comes in.

"But it was a great year for me, and I take a lot of confidence into next year, that's for sure."

Even with this season-ending injury, Boyd remains hopeful about his recovery progress.

"I want to be back to full training, full contact, everything after the Christmas break," Boyd mentioned.

"So, then I can get some good weeks before Round One and trials. I want to be playing trials."
