The Perth Bears are advancing their strategies as they gear up for their inaugural NRL season.
Head coach Mal Meninga has made yet another significant addition, securing Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs star Jonathan Sua, according to Isaac Issa, who reported that a four-year contract starting in 2027 has been agreed upon.
This lengthy contract indicates Meninga's belief in Sua's potential to secure a wing position for the long haul.
So far this year, Sua has played three matches for the Bulldogs in the NRL, shining particularly in their recent game against the Brisbane Broncos.
Recognized as a top junior talent, Sua advanced through the Bulldogs' developmental ranks, earning a reputation as an exceptional finisher.
He made his NRL debut in the last round of the 2024 season, where he impressively ran for 175 metres against the North Queensland Cowboys.
Following that, he showcased his skills in the 2025 NSW Cup, standing out with 15 tries in 21 games and pressing for a spot in the top-tier team.
His outstanding performance has now earned him a long-term deal, where he will join Meninga in Perth.
The Bears are set to officially launch their NRL journey this November, with players commencing preseason training to prepare for their first season.
