The Perth Bears, preparing to enter the NRL in 2027, are focused on securing key off-field personnel as they build their franchise.

After news surfaced that Brad Arthur is a leading candidate for coaching, the Bears are looking to formalize their off-field staff soon.

According to zerotackle.com, the franchise has set its sights on Newcastle Knights GM of Football, Peter Parr, to assist in constructing and managing their foundational roster.

Notably, Parr has a historical connection to the region; he previously worked for the Western Reds, the now-defunct Perth franchise, serving as the sole staff member from the team's establishment in 1992 until its closure in 1997.

In addition to his experience with the Reds and Knights, Parr's career includes roles with teams such as the Adelaide Rams and Brisbane Broncos, as well as a significant tenure with the North Queensland Cowboys, where he spent over two decades.

The Bears are keen to leverage Parr's extensive expertise to help ensure a successful launch for their team in the competitive NRL landscape.
