Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds has been urged to "pull up stumps" next year after failing to deliver in the crucial moments of the grand final.

Reynolds, who joined the Brisbane club this season, was expected to be the game-changer for his team but fell short when it mattered most.

Despite leading the Broncos to the brink of glory, questions have emerged about his performance in the final 20 minutes.

Nathan Cleary, his rival halfback, outshined Reynolds and led Penrith to a comeback victory.

Reynolds, a 33-year-old veteran playmaker, was signed by the Broncos on a three-year contract after the Rabbitohs refused to extend his contract beyond one year.

However, his inability to deliver in the crucial moments of the grand final has raised doubts about his value to the team.

Sports journalist Brent Read expressed his disappointment, stating, "What disappointed me was they bought Adam Reynolds, that's the game, that 20-minute period is what they bought him for, to get them over the line." He further added that Reynolds made crucial errors in the final 20 minutes that completely changed the outcome of the game.
