South Sydney Rabbitohs captain Jack Wighton is reportedly uncertain for the Round 9 match against the Newcastle Knights at Magic Round due to a hamstring issue.
According to zerotackle.com, Wighton was named to captain the team following Latrell Mitchell's one-match suspension.
The Daily Telegraph notes that Wighton will undergo a fitness test on Thursday to assess his availability for Saturday's game.
Should Wighton be unable to play, Lewis Dodd is expected to join Jayden Sullivan in the halves.
Sullivan would revert to his preferred five-eighth position, while Dodd would take on the halfback role.
This situation may also open up an interchange spot for Josh Schuster, who could return to the NRL after spending the past three weeks in the NSW Cup competition.
