In a recent NRL Judiciary decision, Jack Wighton of the Canberra Raiders has been found guilty of dangerous contact.
The club's official website, raiders.com.au, has reported on the matter.
Wighton had pleaded not guilty but was ultimately deemed guilty of biting Tyson Gamble, a player from the Newcastle Knights, during the Judiciary hearing.
The incident in question occurred in the 46th minute of the match between the Raiders and the Knights.
As a result, Wighton has been referred directly to the NRL Judiciary to face the consequences of his dangerous contact charge against Gamble.
