Catalans Dragons have once again proven themselves as the champions of the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup, keeping the prestigious trophy in Perpignan with a dominant 81-18 victory over Wigan Warriors at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

The France international Jeremy Bourson, hailed as the player of the match, led the charge for the Dragons with an exceptional performance that saw him score four tries.

Bourson wasted no time making his mark on the game, grabbing the first try just five minutes in with a spectacular catch from Nico Claussels' well-placed cross-kick.

His hat-trick try in the 32nd minute showcased his individual skill and lightning speed, capping off a stellar first half for the Dragons.

In a display of sheer determination and flair, Catalans extended their lead with Clausells swooping in to score from his own kick, Vargas adding to the tally with a brilliant hat-trick of his own, and Bourson notching his second try before the Warriors could even respond.

"I couldn't be prouder of the team's performance today," said Catalans captain and England star Seb Bechara.

"Winning the Challenge Cup for the second year in a row means the world to us.

The boys gave it their all out there."

Despite a spirited effort from Wigan, who found some inspiration through captain Dec Roberts' try and conversion in the 17th minute followed by a sensational team move that led to Rigby's try, they were unable to close the gap on the rampaging Dragons.

The Dragons' victory not only solidifies their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the Wheelchair Challenge Cup, but also serves as a reminder of the talent and determination that runs through the heart of the team.

With Bourson's standout performance and the team's unwavering spirit, Catalans Dragons have once again proven themselves as true champions of the game.
