New Zealand open their 2026 Rugby League World Cup campaign against Fiji Bulikula at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Sunday 18 October at 1.50pm.
Wests Tigers teammates Raecene McGregor and Shaniece Monschau are in the Kiwi Ferns squad after helping the club reach its first NRLW finals series.
McGregor returns as co-captain after earning Dally M Halfback of the Year and Wests Tigers Player of the Year honours.
She played all 12 matches in the No. 7 jersey, recording three tries and 11 assists.
A three-time NRLW premiership winner, McGregor won twice with the Broncos and once with the Roosters.
Monschau earned selection in her second NRLW season, averaging 87 metres, making 12 tackle breaks and scoring two tries.
The 24-year-old from West Auckland can play across the forward pack.
NRLW head coach Craig Sandercock said, "I'm really proud of them for making the Kiwi Ferns side,"
"I think Rae was in career-best form this year. Her game management, ability to execute the game plan, and the options she took were first-class, and that's reflected in her great performances.
"Shaniece has gone from being a player many people didn't know to becoming a key cornerstone of the team in every sense of the word. She sets a great example with how hard she trains and how her attitude continues to improve."
