Warriors Secure Key Player Contracts Through 2028

NRL 2026: Warriors announce two key signings, Te Maire Martin and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak sign extensions

The Warriors have made an exciting announcement regarding their roster, confirming that both Te Maire Martin and fan favorite Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will be extending their contracts.

Martin has committed for an additional year, remaining with the team until the conclusion of the 2027 season, while Watene-Zelezniak is set to stay on through at least the 2028 season.

Throughout his career, Martin has faced various injury challenges, including a broken leg that impacted his start to 2026.

Despite these setbacks, he seized his chance to shine when stepping in for Tanah Boyd.

Boyd is expected to make his comeback from a torn ACL next year and will partner with Chanel Harris-Tavita; however, Martin will continue to play an essential role as the club's main back-up half.

This is especially relevant with Luke Metcalf and Luke Hanson both no longer in the equation, as Metcalf is transferring to the Dragons and Hanson has secured a two-year contract with the Titans starting next season.

Martin, alongside Harris-Tavita, is recognized as one of the top defensive halves in the league, making him an invaluable utility player for coach Andrew Webster as he strengthens the bench.
