Veteran Tiger ready for international adventure before return

The latest rumblings from the Rugby League world suggest that Wests Tigers stalwart, John Bateman, is primed for a swift change of scenery.

Reports indicate that the seasoned player is gearing up for an immediate stint overseas with Super League side Warrington, under the watchful eye of former South Sydney star Sam Burgess.

The move is said to be a short-term loan deal before Bateman returns Down Under to honor the remainder of his contract at Concord.

According to sources at News Corp, Bateman will not don the Tigers jersey for the rest of the season, opting instead to don the colors of Warrington as they push towards their own goals.

With Wests Tigers' playoff hopes fading fast, the Englishman has been given the green light to make his way back home for a temporary spell.

Once his duties with Warrington are fulfilled, Bateman will make the trek back to Australia to continue his journey with the Tigers for the next couple of years.

Fans will have to wait a little longer to see him back in action, as he's been ruled out of the upcoming clashes with the Warriors and the subsequent fixtures leading up to the end of the regular season.
