Verrills Departing Titans, New Hooker Options Emerging

Titans Decide Against Signing Sam Verrills for Next Season

Sam Verrills' time with the Gold Coast Titans will come to an end after this season.

The Courier Mail has revealed that the club has communicated to the premiership-winning hooker that a contract renewal is not an option.

The Titans seem confident in their decision as they have two eager alternatives ready to step in. The leading contender? Oliver Pascoe.

Pascoe took to the field for the fifth time against the Canberra Raiders on Saturday in a match that ended 28-12 in defeat.

He brings energy off the bench and has been part of two victories since making his Titans debut.

Alongside Pascoe, Luke Sommerton is also being considered as the Titans explore their options at hooker for the 2026 season and beyond.
