Upton claims historic second Dally M Medal

Brisbane Broncos superstar Tamika Upton has made history by becoming the first woman to win two Dally M Medals, receiving the honor on Wednesday night.

This award follows Upton's previous win in 2023, shortly before she guided the Knights to victory in the grand final just days later.

Fans of the Broncos are optimistic that history will repeat itself this year, as the fullback aims for her fifth NRLW premiership when Brisbane competes against the undefeated Roosters in Sunday's final at Accor Stadium.

In an impressive turn of events, Upton was ranked seventh in the voting after Round 5, trailing leader Isabelle Kelly by 12 points at that time.

The 28-year-old had an outstanding season during her return to Brisbane, wrapping up the regular season with 18 tries, 14 try assists, and 18 line breaks.
