The Dolphins have given an official update on the condition of fullback Trai Fuller after he copped a knee injury in the QLD Cup Preliminary Final.
Sadly for Fuller and The Dolphins, their fears have been confirmed with scans showing a "full rupture of his ACL."
This injury couldn't have come at a more inconvenient time as Fuller had solidified his position as the fullback in the NRL side and had just inked a two-year deal keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
The club has announced that Fuller will be consulting with a surgeon next week for surgery, ruling him out of the QLD Cup Grand Final against the Norths Devils this weekend.
"It saddens us to confirm that the scans revealed the extent of the injury was as bad as it seemed when it happened," said Dolphins NRL's Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans.
