The Gold Coast Titans boast one of the youngest rosters in the NRL, with club officials focused on building a promising future.
Despite facing challenges in 2025, the emergence of breakout rookie Josh Patson became a highlight for the team.
Joining the club on a train-and-trial basis last season, Patson made his mark and secured a starting position through his impressive performances.
The dynamic forward has energized the Titans since his debut in Round 15, which has now led to a two-year contract extension with the Queensland club.
As several forwards, including Reagan Campbell-Gillard, David Fifita, and possibly Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, are expected to leave the team, Patson's rise comes at a crucial time.
Patson expressed his enthusiasm about his contract extension in a club statement.
"This year was everything I could ever ask for, getting the chance to make my debut and I've learnt so much in my first full season in an NRL system," Patson said.
