Round 3 team: Under 19 Origin star to lead new-look Titans with Cup promotions

The Gold Coast Titans are set to field a revamped Under 20s team as they prepare to host the North Queensland Cowboys this Saturday, following notable player adjustments due to promotions to the Hostplus Cup.

Key player Javon Andrews, fresh from his "Under 19 player of the match" performance, will return to lead the team after his pivotal role in securing Queensland's victory in last Thursday's junior Origin clash.

He notably "kicked the winning conversion from the sideline" that clinched the win.

The Under 20s will be missing teammates Sam Stephenson, Zane Harrison, and Cooper Bai, who have been called up to the Tweed Seagulls for Cup play.

However, the team will welcome back Queensland representatives Ray Puru, Sunny Kama, and Bodhi Sharpley, who contributed to the recent showdown against New South Wales.

Eager to secure their first win of the season after facing close defeats against the Dolphins and Broncos, the Titans are motivated to claim victory against their rivals as the NRLQ series resumes following a two-week break.

The match is slated to kick off at 11.15 AM on Saturday at the Piggabeen Sports Complex in Tweed Heads.
