Titans' Fifita Faces Judicial Fate: Will He Escape?

Judiciary update: David Fifita

LeagueNews.co | Nick Loken

Gold Coast forward David Fifita has found himself in hot water after being charged by the match review committee following the Titans' Round 24 clash against the Sharks on Friday.

The incident occurred in the 67th minute when Fifita made a shoulder charge on Braden Hamlin-Uele, resulting in him being placed on report.

This marks his second offence, leading to a grade 1 charge.

However, there is some good news for Fifita as he has the option to submit an early guilty plea, which would only result in a $3,000 fine.

Alternatively, if he decides to fight the charge and is found guilty at the hearing, he will be sidelined for two matches - Round 25 against the Panthers and Round 26 against the Storm.

Another player involved in Friday night's game, Erin Clark, was sin binned for striking but has managed to avoid any charges.

At this time, no plea has been submitted for Fifita's case.
