The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed the extension of young talent Arama Hau's contract, keeping him until the end of the 2028 season.
A local junior from the Gold Coast, Hau has successfully moved through the club's 'Future Titans' program and is thriving at the NRL level.
Despite receiving offers from Mal Meninga and the Perth Bears, Hau has chosen to stay in Queensland, continuing his impressive performance in the second row.
With 17 NRL appearances under his belt, the former Australian Schoolboy is capitalizing on the opportunities presented by coach Josh Hannay, evolving into a key component of the Titans' roster.
Hannay expressed his satisfaction with Hau's contract extension, emphasizing the significance of nurturing local talent.
"Arama's signature is crucial as we continue building a team that not only plays on the Gold Coast but plays for the Gold Coast," he stated.
"He's developing into a quality back rower and quality young man, and we look forward to his future with the Titans."
He added, "We're committed to growing a team that identifies with the Gold Coast and most importantly, a team the members and fans can identify with."
The current playing roster includes 13 athletes born or raised in South East Queensland and the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, with eight of them hailing from the Gold Coast itself.
