The Canberra Raiders have announced that Matt Timoko has extended his contract with the club until the conclusion of 2028.
Timoko had a clause in his current deal, and it is now confirmed that he will remain with the team for an additional two years.
Although he faced some challenges with selection earlier this season, he has become a consistent member of Ricky Stuart's lineup during the latter part of the year.
This development has led to a new contract, as Timoko is seen as an integral part of the club's future plans, likely alongside Simi Sasagi, who will continue on the opposite wing.
"Canberra has been a big part of my life ever since I moved here. I was just happy to get some clarity on my future which is very important to me," Timoko stated.
"I like to think of myself as someone who can guide people or give advice when they need it. I like to train the way I want to play. It's just those little things that I wanted to add to my game this year which I'm really enjoying."

To date, Timoko has played 129 matches for the Raiders, contributing 40 tries, with 6 tries in 18 appearances this year alone. His impressive stats include averaging over 150 metres gained per game, alongside his experience of 9 Tests representing New Zealand.
