The Wests Tigers are currently embroiled in a fierce battle to have the severity of the punishment dished out to Justin Olam downgraded.

Olam, who was shown the red card during the clash with the Cowboys at the iconic Leichhardt Oval on Thursday night, is facing a Grade 3 Careless High Tackle charge following his indiscretion against North Queensland's Heilum Luki.

The incident occurred just 10 minutes into the second half, causing a stir among spectators and fans alike.

Despite pleading guilty to the charge, the Tigers are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to have the grading of the offence reduced.

In true never-say-die spirit, the team is rallying together to support their teammate and ensure a fair outcome in the judiciary process.
