Wests Tigers v Raiders: Pole, Twal return; Stuart set for debut

In the 2025 NRL season, the Wests Tigers find themselves in a precarious position, currently sitting just one win above the last-placed Titans and only a win outside the top eight.

Despite the recent additions of Jarome Luai, Sunia Turuva, and Terrell May, which have made the Tigers more competitive, they face a crucial match against the high-flying Raiders.

A loss could put the Tigers in a vulnerable spot, especially with three challenging away games against the Sea Eagles, Roosters, and Warriors looming.

On the other hand, the Raiders come off their first bye of the season and are well-positioned to solidify their place in the top four.

Their upcoming matches include games against the Wests Tigers, Newcastle, and the Dragons, followed by another bye in Round 19.

With their young talent maturing and veteran players like Josh Papalii and Jamal Fogarty effectively leading the team, the Raiders' supporters are starting to envision a potential premiership, the first since 1994.
