Leo Thompson, the powerhouse forward for the Newcastle Knights, is set to embark on a new journey with the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2026.

However, before he moves on to greener pastures, the Maori All Stars representative is determined to leave a lasting impact in his final season with the Knights.

Being highly coveted by various clubs, Thompson ultimately chose the Bulldogs over other contenders like the Canberra Raiders.

At just 24 years old, he has already established himself as one of the NRL's most promising middle forwards, impressing fans and pundits alike with his skill and tenacity on the field.

"Everything's sorted now, and I can focus on giving my all for Newcastle this season.

I'm relieved to have made my decision and now I'm just focused on the present," Thompson shared in an interview with Newswire.

"It wasn't an easy choice, but I've come to terms with it.

It's time to move forward and make the most of my time here before I move on to the next chapter," Thompson added with determination in his voice.
