The rugby league universe is abuzz tonight as all eyes turn to Campbelltown for the Tigers v Eels clash in what is being dubbed the Spoon Bowl.

Fans are gearing up for a showdown of epic proportions, eagerly anticipating the outcome of this face-off.

If you had told me back in March that a match-up between the Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels would be the most highly-anticipated event of the rugby league season, I would have scoffed.

But here we are on a glorious Friday night, with Campbelltown Sports Stadium set to be packed to capacity as 16th takes on 17th in the sold-out Spoon Bowl.

The Tigers are fighting tooth and nail to avoid their third consecutive wooden spoon, while the Eels are determined to steer clear of their first since 2018.

With $50k up for grabs in the final round of the SuperCoach season, the outcome of tonight's game hangs in the balance, with key players poised to make a significant impact.

Dylan Brown has garnered a surge in ownership following his impressive 162-point performance in the last game, prompting many SuperCoaches to switch allegiances from the injured Sam Walker to the Eels' dynamic halfback.

Meanwhile, Tigers captain Apisai Koroisau, still backed by 20% of players, has seen a dip in his scoring form of late, averaging just 56 points in his last three outings.
