Taukeiaho's NRL comeback in jeopardy as Bulldogs pursue

Taukeiaho's possible resurgence in the NRL has gained momentum once again, with rumors circulating that the Canterbury Bulldogs are eager to secure his services.

In what can only be described as a topsy-turvy ride over the past year, the forward was initially linked with the Bulldogs at the close of the 2023 season.

It was widely believed that he had inked a lucrative two-year contract with the blue and white army, ready to don their jersey in the upcoming seasons of 2024 and 2025.

This signing frenzy came amidst the Bulldogs' quest for formidable forwards, following a string of acquisitions in the previous offseason.

Despite adding Josh Curran to bolster their forwards, both coach Cameron Ciraldo and footy guru Phil Gould have expressed their desire to further fortify their pack.

However, Taukeiaho's dreams were momentarily dashed when he fell short during medical examinations, leading to his return to Catalans for the 2024 season.

A controversial incident involving his attendance at a concert during a scheduled club commitment resulted in his untimely departure from the French outfit mid-season.

But now, as the Rugby League landscape shifts once again, Taukeiaho's potential comeback to the NRL is looming large.

With the Bulldogs showing renewed interest, the ball is in his court as he contemplates his next move in the game of footy.
