The boys down at raiders.com.au are buzzing with excitement as news breaks of Temara and Holyman's selection in the Maroons Origin squad.

It's a real honor for these two athletes to be named in the historic opening game of the first ever three-match women's State of Origin series, headed up by Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons head coach Tahnee Norris.

With 16 players from last year's epic showdown against the New South Wales Sky Blues making a return, the squad is looking stronger than ever.

Adding to the mix is Burleigh Bears utility Lauren Brown, making a triumphant comeback in the maroon colors after a hiatus since 2022.

And let's not forget about the rising stars like Sienna Lofipo, Skyla Adams, and Makenzie Weale, who are on the cusp of making their Origin debuts after earning a spot in the extended squad.

Lofipo and Adams have already proven their worth as members of the Queensland Under 19 team that took down NSW last year.

And keep an eye on Norths Devils' own Weale, who is making waves and knocking on the door for her shot at Origin glory.

It's shaping up to be a thrilling battle on the field, with these players ready to give it their all for their state.

Let the games begin!
