Dolphins star Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has sustained a knee injury during the club's last match of the season, where they convincingly defeated the Canberra Raiders in Redcliffe.

In the first hour of the game, Tabuai-Fidow shone, scoring a hat-trick against a weakened Raiders team. However, his performance was interrupted when he was caught awkwardly in a tackle.

After going down, immediate concern arose for his knee, and he was subsequently assisted off the field to the dressing room, ending his participation in the game.

Fortunately, it seems that he has avoided an ACL injury. According to Fox Sports, the Dolphins' medical team is optimistic that he is suffering from an MCL injury instead.

Despite the Dolphins missing the finals due to the Sydney Roosters' win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night, Tabuai-Fidow would have likely been a certain starter for either Australia in the Ashes against England or Samoa in the Pacific Championships against New Zealand or Tonga, depending on his allegiance choice.

However, his participation in either competition is now uncertain. He will need scans to determine the severity of his MCL injury, which could sideline him for more than six weeks if it's on the more severe side.

His three tries in the match brought his seasonal total to just one behind Mark Nawaqanitawase, who is set to win the Ken Irvine Medal.
