Tedesco, who has one year left on his Roosters deal, hopes to play through 2028 before retiring.
Walker, 24, is also in the final year of his contract, but talks over 2028 collapsed after chairman Nick Politis withdrew.
He is seeking a new club despite winning a premiership with the Roosters a month earlier.
Coach Trent Robinson backed Politis. Tedesco understood the club's salary-cap needs but sympathised with Walker's scrutiny after his Australian Test debut in the Kangaroos' World Cup win over Fiji.
"I don't think I can (play peacekeeper) now, but I did offer that, I said if we need to make some calls, I can help out however you want," Tedesco said.
Walker missed the Kangaroos' final group win over the Cook Islands and spoke privately with Tedesco last week.
Tedesco said Walker had endured a whirlwind week and that he would help if needed.
