The Sydney Roosters have won six of the seven NRL games Adam Gee has refereed in 2026, including three of their last four matches.
Gee has been appointed to control this season's NRL Grand Final, the NRL confirmed, after refereeing all three State of Origin matches this year.
Ashley Klein, who had been expected to feature prominently, will instead serve in the Bunker for the State Championship final between Penrith and Redcliffe.
Chris Butler will be in the NRL Bunker for Sunday night's Grand Final.
Gee will referee an NRL Grand Final for the second time; his first was the 2023 match between Penrith and Brisbane.
The Roosters' sole loss under Gee came in Round 27 against the Rabbitohs, when the Sydney side fielded a severely understrength team.
By comparison, Gee has officiated only two Newcastle Knights matches this season, with Newcastle winning one and losing one.
