Surprise Candidate Emerges for NSW Blues

As the announcement date approaches for Laurie Daley's NSW Blues State of Origin team, an unexpected contender has surfaced due to a series of impressive displays.

Dolphins center Jack Bostock has notably shined since his return from an ACL injury, making his center debut at the NRL level over the last two weeks.

The Illawarra local has notched up three tries, broken six tackles, achieved one line-break, delivered a try assist, and averaged an impressive 186 running meters per game during his two outings back.

This towering center faces competition from players like Josh Addo-Carr, Thomas Jenkins, and Campbell Graham for a wing position, particularly with established players Latrell Mitchell and Stephen Crichton securing the center spots.

"One of the names that I heard and we love an Origin bolter, (is) the name Jack Bostock. (He is) potentially someone that will be on an extended list of players that will be spoken about," said journalist Adrian Proszenko during The Continuous Call Team's podcast.

Bostock endured an ACL rupture in June of the previous year during his third NRL season.

Despite this setback, the Dolphins standout has made a remarkable comeback and is performing exceptionally well under coach Kristian Woolf.

In a recent conversation with the Sydney Morning Herald, Bostock shared his optimistic perspective on the serious injury he faced.

"It was obviously heartbreaking at the start," Bostock commented in the interview.
