Despite being known as 'Mr. Fix It' within the Melbourne Storm, Nick Meaney, a striking outside back, has opened up about his internal conflicts stemming from frequent positional changes in recent years.
During his 158-game NRL career over seven years, Meaney has primarily played as a fullback. However, he acknowledges that a recent transition has proven challenging for him to adapt to.
"Obviously, last year was my first year at centre and I felt probably not the most comfortable out there," he shared with AAP.
He recognized that the defensive responsibilities in the centre position are significantly more demanding than those in the fullback role, a challenge he initially found difficult to manage.
