Staggs backs Cobbo: Broncos' future in the balance

Brisbane Broncos star centre Kotoni Staggs has voiced his support for retaining Selwyn Cobbo amidst ongoing contract speculation.

Cobbo, currently facing challenges after being dropped to reserve grade, is rumored to be considering his exit from the Broncos.

Reports indicate that the club has only $300,000 available for Cobbo's re-signing, while he is currently earning around $650,000 annually.

Head coach Michael Maguire has expressed his desire to keep both Cobbo and Staggs, affirming their importance to the team.

However, financial constraints are looming, as it has been widely suggested that the club may not be able to afford to secure both players.

Cobbo has reportedly met with the St George Illawarra Dragons and the North Queensland Cowboys, further intensifying speculation regarding his future with the Broncos.
