In some classic footy news, the sharks.com.au website has announced that some up-and-coming Sharks players have been chosen to represent NSW in the under-19s State of Origin games on June 20th.
NRL squad member Michael Gabrael, along with women's stars Tia-Jordyn Vasilovski and Manilita Takapautolo, will don the blue jersey against Queensland at Leichhardt Oval.
Gabrael, who has been with the Sharks for a little while now, made a name for himself with his lightning speed and knack for scoring tries in the SG Ball team before moving up to Jersey Flegg.
Known for his skills in the centre, Gabrael will be shifting to the wing for this big game, joining forces with recent NRL debutants Chevy Stewart and Jesse McLean.
Vasilovski and Takapautolo, who are both part of the Sharks' NRLW squad, have been making waves in the Tarsha Gale Cup this season.
Their impressive performances landed them spots on the City NSW team for a match against Country last month, where Takapautolo's powerhouse plays earned her the title of Player of the Match in a close 26-18 loss.
With these rising stars ready to shine on the field, the Sharks are sure to make their mark in the Origin clashes.
