Sharks Extend Contract for Rising Star Forward

The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks have made a significant move by securing one of their most promising young forwards ahead of the 2026 season.

Jesse Colquhoun has signed a four-year contract extension, keeping him with the club until the end of the 2030 season.

Colquhoun is a key component of Cronulla's efforts to rebuild their forward pack, joining star hooker Blayke Brailey as the only Sharks players currently committed through to the end of the decade.

This extension was achieved despite interest from other clubs, underscoring the potential Colquhoun has demonstrated over 29 NRL appearances so far.

The back-rower emphasized that loyalty was a crucial factor in his decision to stay, particularly since the club supported him through a challenging period of injuries.

"I'm extremely grateful I get to stay here for the next four years," Colquhoun said. "The Sharks' loyalty towards me in those tough times definitely hasn't gone unnoticed, and that's why I'm glad to call this place home."
