Sharks take down Warriors in Flegg thriller

In a thrilling encounter, Cronulla's Jersey Flegg team secured their position in the top four with a 38-28 victory over the Warriors.

The match kicked off explosively for the Sharks, with five-eighth Adrian Sandy scoring a try just two minutes in, following a penalty that gave them favorable field position.

Centre Nikora Williams converted, putting Cronulla ahead 6-0.

The Sharks quickly doubled their lead when prop Felix Faatili powered over after another penalty, making it 12-0 with Williams adding the conversion.

However, the Warriors responded with hooker Jeriko Filipi-Talisau scoring beside the posts in the 12th minute.

Halfback Jett Cleary converted the try, narrowing the gap to six points.

The remainder of the first half saw a defensive battle, with both teams struggling to score.

Just before half-time, Cronulla extended their lead to eight points with a penalty goal from Williams.

The match showcased the resilience of both teams, culminating in a well-fought victory for the Sharks.
