Broncos' Tawha Out After Eye Injury

Broncos Rising Star Undergoes Surgery After Injury Setback

Brisbane Broncos have announced that young talent Aublix Tawha will be out of action following a broken eye socket he sustained while competing for the Souths Logan Magpies, the club's feeder team.

Last Saturday, Tawha underwent surgery to address the injury and is projected to be sidelined for four weeks as he recovers.

Before joining the Broncos, Tawha played for their rivals, the Dolphins, where he made an impression by debuting in the NRL during the middle of 2025, after excelling with Redcliffe in the Queensland Cup.

The formidable forward not only featured in the Broncos' World Club Challenge squad but also played in three NRL matches this season, indicating his potential importance to the club's plans, especially as they prepare for the future without Payne Haas.

While the tough player must now focus on rehabilitating his eye socket, he is expected to make a return to the field around mid-May.
