Sea Eagles Triumph Over Storm, Brooks Injured

Match Report: NRL Round 17 vs Storm

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles achieved a stunning 30-4 victory over the Melbourne Storm during Round 17 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

This win, however, came with a serious loss as Luke Brooks is suspected to have an ACL injury from the first half.

Manly's impressive performance keeps them close to the top four with nine matches left in the season.

Both teams managed to complete their initial sets despite the wet conditions, with Manly getting an early opportunity to score.

A disruption penalty allowed them to advance down the field, leading to a repeat set prompted by Jamal Fogarty.

Jake Simpkin skillfully passed to Haumole Olakau'atu, who crashed over for the Sea Eagles' opening try in the fifth minute, with Fogarty converting to make it 6-0.

A skirmish appeared on the Western sideline around the 10-minute mark, reminiscent of past clashes between these teams, but it quickly settled down.

Manly continued their momentum as Simpkin assisted Olakau'atu again for their second try.
