In their first NRL trial match at Gosford, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles displayed a plethora of positive signs, overwhelming the South Sydney Rabbitohs with a commanding 68-6 victory at Industree Stadium.

The trial, split into 4 x 20 minute quarters, witnessed the introduction of promising signings Jaxson Paulo, Tommy Talau, Luke Brooks, and Nathan Brown donning the famous maroon and white jersey for the first time.

Despite missing some key players, the Sea Eagles showcased their depth and resilience, with Brooks and Arthur at the helm, guiding the team to a comprehensive win against a young and inexperienced South Sydney outfit, who were also resting several key personnel.

However, the upcoming clash between these two teams in the historic NRL Double Header in Las Vegas on March 2 will undoubtedly present a completely different challenge.

South Sydney drew first blood when Adam Christensen crossed the line in the third minute, swiftly converted by Jarrett Subloo for a 6-0 lead.

Nevertheless, the Sea Eagles responded ferociously, notching up two quickfire tries courtesy of Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega and Ben Trbojevic, catapulting their team into a commanding 12-6 advantage.
