In a move that bolsters their depth at hooker, the Manly Sea Eagles have secured the services of Jayden Yates, as reported by Zero Tackle.
With the ability to also play in other positions within the forward pack, Yates brings a wealth of experience from his time in the NSW Cup.
The switch from the Parramatta Eels to Blacktown sees him joining forces with Manly's feeder team, providing him with a pathway to potentially make his NRL debut if the need arises.
While he may not have an NRL contract, Yates could be called upon after Round 11 to fill the hooker position in case of injuries.
Players with NSW Cup contracts are seen as eligible to play in the NRL, similar to those on development deals.
Lachlan Croker currently holds the main dummy half role for the Sea Eagles, having transitioned from a half to excel in the position in recent seasons.
