Once a Bunnies superstar, Sam Burgess has made a surprising comeback in the 2025 NRL push into the American market, catching many off guard with his inclusion in the program.

The NRL's ambitious foray into the United States market is gearing up for an exciting year ahead, with the 2025 schedule recently unveiled.

Following the success of the double-header in Las Vegas to kick off the 2024 season, the league is set to take another leap forward.

In a move that has set tongues wagging, the NRL has expanded the schedule to include not only the English Super League but also women's footy, adding even more excitement to the extravaganza.

This time around, four new NRL teams will have the chance to strut their stuff in the US, with matchups like the Canberra Raiders taking on the Warriors and the Panthers going head to head with the Sharks.

Adding to the anticipation is a showdown between the 2024 UK Challenge Cup finalists, Wigan and Warrington, the latter being led by none other than former Bunnies star Sam Burgess.

This unexpected twist in the lineup has certainly raised eyebrows and sparked speculation about Burgess's return to the spotlight.

As the NRL gears up for another thrilling season in the American market, all eyes will be on Burgess and the rest of the players as they take to the field in Las Vegas.

With new teams, familiar faces, and plenty of surprises in store, this promises to be a season like no other.
