Salford Red Devils head coach Paul Rowley is optimistic despite a challenging 2025 Super League season, noting he sees "green shoots of progress" in his team.
The club has faced significant turmoil, including financial issues, unpaid wages, and player departures, which have overshadowed their campaign.
Following a recent 38-6 defeat to Hull FC, Salford remains at the bottom of the Super League table with just one win this season.
Rowley expressed frustration over the team's performance, stating, "Like everybody else I'm fed up, bored of the situation because everybody wants to win.
We're here to compete.
We could almost smell success coming into this season so it's been difficult." However, he highlighted the potential for improvement, mentioning that the team has made some new signings and remarked, "What I will say is that we've got some new additions in and I did feel that this week there were some green shoots of progress and actually in the first half I felt it."
