Saifiti Strikes Back: Judiciary Charges Knights Forward

Judiciary Update: Saifiti charged

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

The Newcastle Knights website has issued a Judiciary Update, revealing that Jacob Saifiti, a hard-hitting forward for the team, has been charged with striking after their recent match against the Bulldogs.

Saifiti, who was already on thin ice after a previous incident, found himself in hot water when he was shown the sin bin for a run-in with Bulldogs' hooker, Reed Mahoney.

The Match Review Committee wasted no time in citing Saifiti with a Grade 1 Striking charge.

If Saifiti chooses to take the easier route and accept a guilty plea, he will face a hefty $3,000 fine.

However, if he decides to put up a fight and protest the charge in front of the judiciary, he risks sitting out for two crucial matches.

It's a tough call for the prop, but in the game of Rugby League, decisions like these are all part of the game.
