Roosters soar with mixed feathers: report roundup

Juniors Report Round 5: Mixed Results for Roosters

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

In Round 5 of the Junior Representative competition, the Sydney Roosters had a mixed bag of results, with three wins, three defeats, a draw, and a bye.

The Red, White, and Blue showed resilience in the early stages of their match against the Tigers, with centre Breanna Bigeni and lock Molly Pittman scoring crucial tries to level the game at 12-all before halftime.

However, their clash with the Illawarra Steelers proved to be a frustrating outing for the Roosters.

Playing on the Steelers' turf in Figtree, the away team found themselves trailing 14-nil at halftime, unable to make an impact on the scoresheet.

Despite tries from fullback Logan Fletcher and winger Ayva Papalii in the second half, the Steelers sealed a 26-10 victory with a late try.

The result left the Roosters disappointed but determined to bounce back in the following rounds.
