Sharks sink to relentless Roosters

In a dominating display, the Roosters have sent shockwaves through the Rugby League world by thrashing the ladder-leading Sharks with a convincing 40-0 victory at PointsBet Stadium.

The Sharks, who have been riding high at the top of the ladder this season, found themselves caught off guard from the get-go as the Roosters came out guns blazing and ready to play hardball.

The visitors set the tempo early on, planting four tries in the first half.

The tone was set with a powerful try from Otesa Pule in the fourth minute, showcasing the Roosters' determination to come out on top.

Skipper Isabelle Kelly's brilliant lead-up play paved the way for Pule to bulldoze over the try line next to the left upright.

A masterful display of kicking prowess from the Roosters led to their second try courtesy of Olivia Kernick.

A perfectly executed 40/30 kick and a wicked bounce off a spiral bomb from Jocelyn Kelleher caught the Sharks off guard, allowing Kernick to pounce and score.

Sammy Bremner added to the Roosters' lead with a signature move, drawing in the Sharks defense with her threat to offload, only to sprint towards the try line and extend the lead in the 14th minute.

Although the Sharks managed to regroup momentarily and stem the flow of points, the Roosters were not about to take their foot off the gas in the first half.

The relentless onslaught continued, leaving the Sharks struggling to keep up.
